Frenchie’s Fast first winner for Dramatic Copy
Frenchie’s Fast rallied from last in a seven-horse field to win the fourth race at Turf Paradise by four lengths on Sunday and become the first winner for freshman sire Dramatic Copy.
Frenchie’s Fast, out of the Strolling Along mare Stenographer, completed the 5½-furlong maiden claiming race in 1:06.29 on a track rated as fast for trainer Bill Brashears and owner Adam Lewis.
A seven-year-old by Souvenir Copy, Dramatic Copy is out of the Seattle Slew mare Modern Drama, a half sister to Grade 1 winner Dramatic Gold. Dramatic Copy, who has four two-year-olds in his first crop, will stand the 2009 season for $1,000 at Abbott Ranch in Oro Grande, California.
Dramatic Copy posted one win and one second in six career starts for owner Golden Eagle Farm.
