Cat Dreamer first winner for Cat Dreams

Cat Dreamer dueled for the lead in his third career start and drove clear to a 3 3/4-length win in record-breaking time on Thursday at Hollywood Park to become the first career winner for freshman sire Cat Dreams.

Trained by Adam Kitchingman for a partnership, Cat Dreamer completed 4 1/2 furlongs in :50.84, a Hollywood Park record for the distance, under Martin Pedroza. Cat Dreamer is the first foal to race out of the placed Boundary mare Silent Alarm, a half sister to Grade 1 winner Pohave.

A seven-year-old by Storm Cat out of multiple Grade 2 winner J J’sdream, by Glitterman, Cat Dreams stands for $4,000 at Tommy Town Thoroughbreds in Santa Ynez, California. He has 40 two-year-olds in his first crop.

Cat Dreams posted an eight-length win in his only career start in 2003 for trainer Al Stall Jr. and owner B. Wayne Hughes.
