Diamond G Ranch purchases Grade 1 winner Tactical Cat


Diamond G Ranch has purchased Grade 1 winner Tactical Cat and will stand the 12-year-old by recently pensioned sire Storm Cat at the Edmond, Oklahoma, farm in 2009.

No stud fee was announced for Tactical Cat.

Tactical Cat previously was at Overbrook Farm in Lexington, where he stood from 2000 through ’08.

From six crops of racing age, Tactical Cat has sired 193 winners, including 20 stakes winners, from 290 starters that have earned $11,528,625.

Winner of the 1998 Hollywood Futurity (G1), Tactical Cat won four of 12 career starts and earned $480,067. He is out of multiple Grade 3-placed stakes winner Terre Haute, by Caro (Ire).
