Classic winner Araafa’s first foal born in England

The first foal by Araafa, winner of the 2006 Boylesports Irish Two Thousand Guineas (Ire-G1) as well as that year’s St. James’s Palace Stakes (Eng-G1), was born on January 21 at Broughton Bloodstock’s Leighams Farm in Essex, England. The colt is also the first foal out of the winning Almutawakel mare Salsa Brava. Araafa stands at Plantation Stud for about $23,000.
