Grade 1 winner Richter Scale to Louisiana
Grade 1 winner Richter Scale has been moved from Richland Hills in Midway, Kentucky, to Chad White Farm in Benton, Louisiana. The 14-year-old by *Habitony will stand for $2,500.
Richland Hills and Richard Kaster will retain ownership of Richter Scale in a lease agreement with Chad White, who will support the stallion with 20 to 25 of his own mares.
"We welcome Richter Scale to Louisiana," White said. “He has settled in well, and we look forward to offering him to Louisiana breeders as well as sending many of our own mares to him.”
Out of the winning Bel Bolide mare Devine Pet, Richter Scale is a half brother to graded stakes winner Outperformance. He is from the immediate family of multiple Grade 1 winner Best Pal.
Richter Scale won 12 of 25 career starts, including the 2000 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes (G1), and earned $1,139,958. He amassed eight graded stakes wins in five seasons.
