Gouldings Green to stand in Pennsylvania

Multiple graded stakes winner Gouldings Green will begin his stud career in 2009 at Mohns Hill Farm in Reinholds, Pennsylvania.

The seven-year-old Charismatic horse out of Elusive Gold, by Strike the Gold, will stand for $2,000.

During a five-race stretch in 2006, Gouldings Green reeled off victories in the Alysheba Stakes at Churchill Downs, Hanshin Cup Handicap (G3) at Arlington Park, Chinese Cultural Centre Seagram’s Cup Stakes (Can-G3) at Woodbine, and Turfway Park Fall Championship Stakes (G3). He also prevailed in the 2007 Seagram’s Cup.

Trained by Anthony Reinstedler for Melnyk Racing Stables, Gouldings Green finished second in the Razorback Handicap (G3) on March 8 at Oaklawn Park in his final start. He retires with nine wins in 25 starts and $682,493 in purse earnings.
