Slew’s Pot of Gold sires first winner
Slews Winner reeled in pacesetter Lane’s Value in the stretch and posted a three-quarter length score in the sixth race at the Downs at Albuquerque to become the first career winner for freshman sire Slew’s Pot of Gold.
Loyal Crownover’s homebred Slews Winner completed the five-furlong maiden special weight race in :59.27 on a track rated as fast for trainer Dan Dennison. He is out of the winning Tom Cruiser mare I Love to Win.
