Friar, half brother to Pulpit, to enter stud in 2008

Friar, a winning half brother to multiple Grade 2 winner and sire Pulpit, will enter stud in 2008 at Morning Sun Farms in Springfield Center, New York.
The Arch horse out of Grade 1 winner Preach, by Mr. Prospector, will stand for $3,500 as the property of Morning Sun Farms.
Friar has earned two wins from 20 starts in a three-year racing career that also included eight runner-up and four third-place finishes. Trained by Debra Devitto for John Lemmens and Michael Devitto, Friar has compiled purse earnings of $126,496.
Claiborne Farm bred Friar in Kentucky, and previously campaigned the bay horse. Debra Devitto claimed Friar for $35,000 on August 26.
