Monarchos moving from Claiborne to Nuckols Farm

John Oxley’s Monarchos, winner of the 2001 Kentucky Derby (G1) and Florida Derby (G1), will stand the 2008 breeding season at Nuckols Farm in Midway, Kentucky, for $6,000.

The nine-year-old Maria’s Mon horse, who won four of ten starts and earned $1,720,830 over three seasons, stood last year for $7,500 at Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky.

From three crops of racing age, Monarchos had 63 winners from 101 starters who had compiled $3,065,526 in earnings through Thursday.
