Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) winner Any Given Saturday will join fellow top three-year-olds Street Sense and Hard Spun as stallions for Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum’s Darley.

The Distorted Humor colt out of Weekend in Indy, by A.P. Indy, will continue racing for WinStar Farm and Padua Stables through the Breeders’ Cup Classic Powered by Dodge (G1) on October 27 at Monmouth Park.

“Any Given Saturday is one of the stars of an outstanding generation,” said John Ferguson, Darley’s bloodstock advisor. “He's also a most attractive son of one of the world's hottest stallions. He's got a big future, both on the track and later at stud.”

Any Given Saturday is scheduled to use the Brooklyn Breeders’ Cup Handicap (G2) on September 22 at Belmont Park as his final prep for the Classic.

Bred by WinStar’s subsidiary, Racehorse Management, Any Given Saturday scored a 4 1/2-length victory in the Haskell over Hard Spun and Preakness Stakes (G1) winner Curlin.

Darley purchased the stallion rights to Hard Spun and Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) winner Street Sense in May.

Padua purchased an interest in Any Given Saturday from WinStar in February. He won the Sam F. Davis Stakes and finished second to Street Sense in the Tampa Bay Derby (G3) prior to a third-place finish in the Wood Memorial Stakes (G1) and an eighth-place finish in the Derby.

Any Given Saturday returned with a four-length victory in the Dwyer Stakes (G2) on July 4 at Belmont Park, before claiming his first Grade 1 win in the Haskell.

“Any Given Saturday is a special horse to WinStar and Padua, but because of our business approach to the industry, we are willing to look at all opportunities, including selling such a tremendous stallion prospect,” WinStar President Doug Cauthen said. “We know Darley will do a wonderful job and we hope to breed to him throughout his career."
