Coolmore sells Fasliyev to Japanese interests

Coolmore has sold fifth-crop sire Fasliyev to a Japanese syndicate that will stand the ten-year-old Nureyev stallion at Yushun Stud on the island of Hokkaido.

Coolmore retained an option to buy back Fasliyev after two seasons, according to Racing Post.

In 2007, Fasliyev stood for approximately $22,000 at Coolmore Stud in County Tipperary, Ireland.

Fasliyev sired 34 individual two-year-old winners in his first crop, which tied End Sweep’s record for a Northern Hemisphere freshman sire, a mark that Invincible Spirit surpassed last year.

Kamarinskaya, Fasliyev’s stakes-winning half sister, sold for $3.2-million to My MeadowView Farm on Monday in the Keeneland November breeding stock sale.
