First foal by State City born in Florida

The first reported foal by Group 1 winner State City was born on January 17 when the Grade 3 winning Medieval Man mare Complete Charm produced a chestnut filly on the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. grounds.

The filly is out of Complete Charm, who is from the family of two-time champion Susan’s Girl, dam of Grade 1 winner and sire Copelan.

State City, an eight-year-old Carson City horse, won six of 17 career starts, including the 2003 Dubai Golden Shaheen (UAE-G1).

State City stands for $10,000 at Buck Pond Farm in Versailles, Kentucky.
