Grade 3-placed stakes winner Deer Lake will enter stud in 2008 at Foot Fall Farm in Palmyra, Indiana.

The Meadowlake horse out of Dorothy Dear, by Foolish Pleasure, will stand for $2,000.

Deer Lake concluded his six-year racing career with nine wins in 35 starts and $356,980 in purse earnings. The bay horse won the 2005 Holiday Cheer Stakes at Turfway Park, and placed in five additional stakes races, including a third-place finish in the ’04 Mr. Prospector Handicap (G3) at Gulfstream Park.

Deer Lake is a half brother to two stakes-placed winners. His immediate family includes 1988 champion turf male and sire Sunshine Forever and Grade 3 winner Hotstufanthensome.
