Ocean Terrace among new stallions at Mighty Acres
Grade 3 winner Ocean Terrace has joined the stallion roster at Mighty Acres in Pryor, Oklahoma, for the 2008 season.
The seven-year-old Saint Ballado horse out of Crystal River, by Black Tie Affair (Ire), will stand for $2,000.
Ocean Terrace began his stud career at Highclere in Lexington in 2005 and stood at Belle Mere Farm in Norman, Oklahoma, in ’06 and ’07.
Trained by Bob Hess Jr. for owner Fog City Stable, Ocean Terrace won the 2003 El Camino Real Derby (G3) at Golden Gate Fields.
Stakes winner Wild Tale also is new to the Mighty Acres roster. The six-year-old Tale of the Cat horse out of Young and Wild, by Wild Again, will stand for $2,500.
Wild Tale won the 2005 Harvey Arneault Memorial Breeders’ Cup Handicap at Mountaineer and placed in five other stakes.
Mighty Acres also has added Ra Ra Superstar, a winner by Deputy Minster out of 1993 Bashford Manor Stakes (G3) winner Miss Ra He Ra, by Rahy.
A half brother to Grade 2-placed winner Dancing Band, by Dixieland Band, Ra Ra Superstar will stand for $1,500.
