Shadwell moves Hamas to Pitchall Farm Stud in England

Posted: Thursday, December 09, 2004

Shadwell Group 1 winner Hamas will relocate to Pitchall Farm Stud in Warwickshire, England, for the 2005 season.

The 15-year-old son of Danzig out of Grade 1 winner Fall Aspen, by Pretense, will stand for approximately $2,878 (1,500 pounds). He had been standing at Haras des Chertreux in Branville, France.

Hamas is a full brother to Group 2 winner Bianconi and half brother to champion and classic winner Timber Country, Grade or Group 1 winners Fort Wood and Northern Aspen, and Group 2 winner Colorado Dancer, the dam of multiple highweight Dubai Millennium.

In eight crops of racing age, Hamas has sired 137 winners. His ten stakes winners include Group 2 winner Mitcham.

Hamas won five of 18 career starts, including a victory in the 1993 July Cup Stakes (Eng-G1) at Newmarket.
