Unaccounted For to relocate to Millennium Farms Kentucky

Posted: Thursday, October 04, 2001

Kentucky stallion Unaccounted For is expected to transfer from William Farish's Lane's End Farm in Versailles to Ro Parra's and William Hardin and Michele Hardin's Millennium Farms Kentucky in Lexington on November 1.

Russell Jones, president of Walnut Green Bloodstock Agency and manager of John Kluge's Morven Stud, which owns 75% of Unaccounted For, said the deal has not been completed but "I think it's certain to happen."

The ten-year-old son of Private Account has stood at Lane's End since retiring at the end of his four-year-old season in 1995 with earnings of $998,468.

Bill Farish of Lane's End, which owns the remaining 25% of the stallion, indicated that relocating Unaccounted For to Millennium Farms was a positive move and that it would give the stallion more exposure.

"We're happy to do it," Farish said. "This gives the horse a good chance."

Bred in Pennsylvania by Derry Meeting Farm and Brushwood Stable, Unaccounted For was consigned to the 1992 Fasig-Tipton yearling sales at Saratoga by Derry Meeting Farm and was purchased by Walnut Green Bloodstock for $230,000. He won six of 17 career starts campaigning for Morven Stud Farm including the 1995 Whitney Handicap (G1) and 1994 Jim Dandy Stakes (G2).

From three crops of racing age, Unaccounted For has sired 61 winners, six of whom are stakes winners, including 2001 Florida Oaks (G3) victor Quick Trip. His progeny have earned a total of $4,047,341.

Unaccounted For's 2002 stud fee has not yet been determined, though he stood the past season for $7,500.

Unaccounted For is out of the stakes-winning The Minstrel mare Mrs. Jenney, a daughter of English champion Mrs. Penny and a half sister to stakes winner Northern Park and to classic-placed Penny's Valentine, dam of multiple Group 3 winner Penny's Gold. He is a half brother to stakes winner A Votre Sante.– Victor Ryan
