Coolmore's Perugino to stand in Germany in 2002

Coolmore, the Irish-based operation that stands some of the world's best stallions, has agreed to send Perugino, a half brother to Sadler's Wells, to Germany next year under a lease agreement with Gestuts Rheinberg, Fahrhof, and Rummerhof.

A ten-year old son of Danzig out of Fairy Bridge, by Bold Reason, Perugino has sired ten stakes winners in his first four crops, including 2000 Australian champion sprinter Testa Rossa, Group 1 winner Sarduka, American graded winner Gino's Spirits (GB), and multiple German group winner Banyumanik.

Perugino will stand at Rheinberg at a fee of $3,966.—Tony Smurthwaite
