Stakes placed Gold Knuckles to stand in California
Gold Knuckles, a stakes placed son of Silver Deputy, will stand the 2002 breeding season at Daehling Ranch near Elk Grove, California for a fee of $1,500.
Seven-year-old Gold Knuckles won six of 16 career starts with earnings of $86,850 and finished third in the 1997 Billy Ball Handicap at Golden Gate Fields. He was purchased for $46,000 by Frank Stronach at the 1995 Keeneland September yearling sale and later raced for Yu Cheung and Gene Johnson.
Bred in Kentucky by Shields Thoroughbreds, Gold Knuckles is out of the unraced Plugged Nickle mare Nickle Lady, who is a half sister to Grade 1 winner Labeeb (GB), multiple Grade 2 winner Fanmore, Group 2 winner and Irish highweight Alrassaam (GB), and multiple Grade 1-placed stakes winner Madame L'Enjoleur. Gold Nuckles is a half brother to graded stakes-placed winners Title Bought and Royal Terminal.
