Group stakes winner Commands to stand in France

Australian Group 3 winner Commands, a full brother to Australian champion and top sire Danewin, will stand his first Northern Hemisphere season in 2002 at Haras du Quesnay near Deauville, France.

The five-year-old son of Danehill out of Cotehele House, by My Swanee, is expected to arrive at the farm in early January and will stand for approximately $5,726. Commands has stood two Southern Hemisphere seasons at Woodlands Stud near Denman, New South Wales, Australia.

Commands won four of 15 career starts with one second and four thirds for $258,476 in earnings. He won the 1999 Missile Stakes (Aus-G3) and placed in both the Caulfield Guineas (Aus-G1) and The Galaxy (Aus-G1) during his career.

Commands is one of three winners produced by Cotehele House, an unraced half sister to Australian champions Octagonal and Mouawad and Group 1 winners Our Marquise, Kaapstad, and Our Diamond Lover.
