Stud fee for Exchange Rate reduced

Exchange Rate will stand his first season in 2002 for $10,000 instead of the previously announced $12,500.The four-year-old Danzig colt was retired earlier this year and will stand at Satish and Anne Sanan's Padua Stables near Ocala.

"We want to support the Florida breeding industry to the fullest extent," said Nadia Sanan, spokesperson for Padua. "By lowering Exchange Rate's fee, we hope to allow more breeders the opportunity to breed their mares to this exceptional son of Danzig."

Exchange Rate won six of 15 career starts, including the 2001 Tom Fool Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park and 2000 Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds, for $479,803 in earnings.
