Originally consigned to July 2005 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky select yearling sale by James B. Keogh, agent, and purchased for $110,000 by Mike Ryan, agent.

Subsequently consigned to 2006 Keeneland April two-year-olds in training sale by Niall Brennan Stables, agent. Purchased for $275,000 by Glencrest Farm.

Contender Status

Panty Raid offers traner Todd Pletcher considerable versatility.

The Include filly has won at distances from six furlongs to 1 1/4-miles.

On dirt she won the May 18 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (G2) at Pimlico Race Course, on turf she won the American Oaks Invitational Stakes (G1) at Hollywood Park; and in her latest endeavor over the Polytrack at Keeneland Race Course she won the Juddmonte Spinster Stakes (G1).

The Spinster is one of the series of Breeders' Cup Challenge "Win and You're In" races, assuring Panty Raid a starting spot in the Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1).

Pletcher's primary concern was that the Breeders' Cup was just under three weeks after the Spinster, making for a somewhat short turnaround for a Grade 1 winning filly.

"The filly will tell us if she wants to come back in 20 days," Pletcher said. "The other question is what surface to run on because she would fit in either the Filly and Mare Turf or the Distaff."

Panty Raid reportedly came out of the Spinster in fine shape and will train at Belmont Park while Pletcher considers his options.
