Thoroughbred Times Co. Inc. publishes THOROUGHBRED TIMES, a weekly newsmagazine based in Lexington, Kentucky, written for those involved in Thoroughbred racing and breeding, plus for racing fans. THOROUGHBRED TIMES publishes the annual
Stallion Directory, which is mailed to all subscribers to the weekly magazine the first week of December. The
Interactive Stallion Directory DVD is mailed with the print edition of the
Stallion Directory.
In the first issue of January every year, THOROUGHBRED TIMES publishes the
comprehensive Auction Review, which reports on all horses sold or offered at public auction in North America the previous calendar year, broken down by yearlings, weanlings, two-year-olds, and broodmares, and includes covering sire statistics.
Thoroughbred Times Co. also publishes the daily newsletter THOROUGHBRED TIMES TODAY, which covers racing daily and is sent to subscribers via e-mail. Launched in February 2002, TODAY goes to all paid subscribers to the weekly magazine who provide their e-mail address.
In 2002, THOROUGHBRED TIMES published the premiere edition of the THOROUGHBRED TIMES Racing Almanac, the most comprehensive statistical and reference guide on racing available today. The Racing Almanac is an annual book and is published in July.
For more than a decade, THOROUGHBRED TIMES has published the specialized sales supplement The Buyer's Guides, a reference source on horses being sold at public auctions used by professionals to help with buying decisions.
THOROUGHBRED TIMES maintains a comprehensive Web site at www.thoroughbredtimes.com that reports on daily news and is the preferred site for industry professionals seeking timely information. The Web site includes sire lists updated daily, stakes results, commentaries, a calendar of events, auction results, the seasonal sections the Road to the Triple Crown and the Road to the Breeders' Cup, plus other content.
THOROUGHBRED TIMES was founded in September 1985 and in 1988 merged with The Thoroughbred Record, the oldest Thoroughbred publication in North America. The Thoroughbred Record was founded in 1875 as the Live Stock Record and became The Thoroughbred Record in 1895.
